The Big Give | One donation, twice the impact!

Donations to Breaking Barriers will be DOUBLED between 29 November and 6 December! 

We are very excited to have been selected to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, where donations to us will be doubled, until we reach £40,000!

If you’re thinking about what you can do to give back this festive season, this is an amazing opportunity to double your impact and make a real difference to the lives of refugees.  

This year, we’re raising money towards our grants, which help cover the costs for refugees to be able to take the next step in their career, for example a qualification, exams, professional memberships, driving lessons etc.

Our grants are a simple and effective way to remove a big financial barrier for the refugees we support, but the cost-of-living crisis means they are more in demand than ever before.

We need your help to fill the pot.

Over the next few weeks we are planning lots of ways to spread the word as far as possible – plenty of social media to get all of our friends and supporters involved! 

But we need your help too. Any donation you make to Breaking Barriers between the 29 November and 6 December will go twice as far to help our clients take an important step towards their career.

By donating to us, you will be making a real difference to the lives of refugees who face many barriers to employment including long gaps on CVs, low levels of English, lack of understanding of the UK job market, and misplaced employer perceptions of hiring refugees.  

We believe that every refugee can fulfill their potential and integrate into their new home through employment that matches their skills, experience, and aspirations.
