What partnership looks like

We work with employers in a practical, step-by-step way:

  1. Start the conversation: We learn about your roles, hiring needs, timelines, and inclusion goals.
  2. Identify fit: Together, we agree where opportunities are most realistic and meaningful.
  3. Create opportunities: This could include vacancies, entry routes, or other pathways aligned to your workforce needs.
  4. Support delivery: We stay involved to support candidates and your team through recruitment and early employment.

This is a partnership model. We do not promise instant bulk placements or guaranteed fill rates.

Inclusive recruitment in practice

Our team supports employers to create recruitment experiences that are fair and accessible for people who may have experienced displacement or other barriers to work.

This can include:

  • Reviewing role requirements and language in job adverts
  • Making interview processes clearer and more accessible
  • Supporting hiring managers with practical guidance
  • Improving onboarding and in work support so new starters can settle and succeed.

In return, we ask employers to commit to fair processes, open communication, and a genuine interest in inclusive hiring.

Prepared candidates: what that means

"Prepared" means candidates are supported through employability coaching and practical guidance before and during their job search. It does not mean every person is the right fit for every role.

Our role is to help create the best conditions for successful hiring decisions by sharing relevant context, supporting candidates, and working with your team throughout the process.

The support we offer to both employers and refugee clients does incur a cost to Breaking Barriers. However funding requirements vary by location, sector, and programme context. If you are interested in hiring refugees please contact us to discuss what a partnership for your business needs could look like.

No. We support candidates and employers through fair, inclusive recruitment, but outcomes depend on role fit, competition, and recruitment decisions.

Timelines vary by hiring needs and partnership scope. We will agree realistic next steps in an initial conversation.
