Goal: Raise funds to unlock the English language for refugees

In 2025, our Big Give Christmas Challenge was devoted to unlocking the English language for refugees.

And, thanks to two generous match funders, donations via the Big Give up to a total of £10,000 were doubled.

So, every £1 donated meant £2 to help refugees break the language barrier, build their confidence, gain qualifications, and access meaningful work.

Goal: To secure the long-term future of our work

'Breaking Barriers, Building Futures' was our anniversary campaign focused on our mission and future growth.

It served as both a reflection on a decade of impact and a forward-looking appeal to ensure we can continue breaking down barriers for another 10 years.

By calling on our community to donate, fundraise, and share our mission, we aimed to build a stronger foundation to support thousands more refugees on their journey to meaningful employment.

Goal: To raise awareness of the challenges refugees face

The 'My (Refugee) Life' campaign placed refugees at the heart of their own narratives, with the documentary providing a platform for their voices to be heard authentically.

It moves the conversation away from abstract labels and towards a genuine understanding of the experience of seeking asylum in the UK, highlighting refugees' resilience, their aspirations, and our shared humanity.
