Introduction
During June 2025, Breaking Barriers is running a prize draw as part of the ‘Breaking Barriers, Building Futures’ campaign, which marks the organisation’s 10th anniversary. This page sets out the Terms and Conditions for entry into the draw, and for the selection and notification of the winner. It also includes details of the prizes available in the draw, and specifies Breaking Barriers’ rights and obligations in respect of the draw.
Terms and Conditions of Entry
- Prize draw participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. Breaking Barriers reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prizes, to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
- The prize draw is open to anyone living in the UK who is aged 18 years or over, except employees of Breaking Barriers and their households.
- The prize draw is free to enter, or can be entered with an optional donation.
- Only one entry per person is permitted.
- All entries must be submitted via one of the following webpages: Free entry, or Entry with donation.
- The closing date for the prize draw is 30 June 2025. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
- Breaking Barriers accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical or computer fault of any kind.
- The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts in respect of the draw.
Winner selection and notification
- All entrants will have an equal chance of winning the prize draw, whether their participation was via free entry or donation.
- One winner will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process on Thursday 3 July 2025.
- The winner will be notified by email (using details provided at entry) on or before 7 July 2025, and will be asked to confirm their postal address. If the winner does not respond within 14 days of being notified, all their prizes will be forfeited and Breaking Barriers will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process specified above.
Prize information
- The winner of the prize draw will receive the following prizes:
- Two tickets to ‘The Land of the Living’ at the National Theatre – donated by actor and Breaking Barriers ambassador, Juliet Stevenson;
- A Burberry Check cashmere scarf – donated by Burberry (Burberry Ltd, Horseferry House, Horseferry Road, Westminster, London, SW1P 2AW);
- A voucher for two places on a Tea Blending and Tasting Workshop – donated by Bird & Blend (Bird & Blend Tea Ltd, Unit 3 Woods Way, Goring Business Park, Worthing, BN12 4QY);
- A selection of chocolate bars and treats – donated by Tony’s Chocolonely (Tony’s Chocolonely Ltd, 1st Floor Rosedale Studios, Rosedale Road, Richmond, TW9 2SX);
- 2 x £50 hotel gift vouchers donated by Off Peak Luxury (OPL Leisure Group Ltd, 81 Leonard Street, London, EC2A 4QS).
- Prizes will be sent to the winner by email and post within 7 days of their response to the notification of their win.
- Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
Breaking Barriers’ rights and responsibilities
- The promoter of the prize draw is Breaking Barriers, WeWork Aldwych, 71-91 Aldwych, London, WC2B 4HN.
- The decision of Breaking Barriers regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- Breaking Barriers reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Breaking Barriers must either publish or make available information that indicates a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Breaking Barriers will send the surname and county of the prize winner to anyone who emails [email protected] or writes to Breaking Barriers, WeWork Aldwych, 71-91 Aldwych, London, WC2B 4HN by 31 August 2025. If you object to your surname and/or county being made available, please contact Breaking Barriers via these same contact details. In such circumstances, Breaking Barriers must still provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
- Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in these terms and in Breaking Barriers’ Privacy Policy, which is available at breaking-barriers.co.uk/privacy or on request via the contact details above.
- The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts in respect of the draw.
