Who we support
Age
Individuals aged 18 and older.
Locations
Nationwide (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales).
Immigration Status
We support those with the following statuses from the UK or another EU country:
- Refugee status
- Discretionary leave to remain
- Humanitarian protection
- Residency in the UK or another EU country (previously met criteria)
- In the UK on a family reunion visa with a person meeting the criteria
- Asylum seekers
- Survivors of human trafficking with the right to work
- Individuals from Hong Kong with British National (Overseas) visas
Language Level
Minimum B1 level of English, equivalent to ESOL Entry 3.
Waiting Times
Depending on available schools’ spaces and courses.
University applicants
University Offer for those who are planning to access higher education: Applicants who have received an offer from a UK university but need at least B1-level English proficiency to meet the entry requirements. Priority is given to those with an offer for a bachelor’s degree. MA/PhD offers will only be prioritised if the requalification team deems it necessary for requalification or employability.
Career goal
Applicants with a clear career goal that requires language skills for professional requalification or to meet employability criteria.
Previous profession
Must be returning to previous profession at the same level in which you worked in your home country
Previous overseas qualifications
Must have the required previous/overseas qualifications to register with regulating body (if applicable)
