At Breaking Barriers we welcome refugees into meaningful employment with one-to-one advice and guidance, education, and training.

We currently provide support to refugees over the age of 18 years across Birmingham, Glasgow, Greater Manchester, Liverpool and London.

Breaking Barriers earned my trust; the team are incredibly patient and informative which helped build my confidence and knowledge of the UK job market. I was provided with various support and now I am currently working at Mayer Brown in my dream job role and looking towards the future.

Different ways we can support you

Employment

We offer one-to-one, personalised, employment support. We believe it’s not just about getting a job, it’s about finding meaning and purpose in the work that you do. That's why we are here wherever you are in your employment journey.

Education

Our education programme provides you with the skills that you need to succeed in your career, or to access further study in the UK, including English classes and IT and digital skills.

Skills building

We work with businesses from a wide range of industries. Many of our partners offer workshops, mentoring and work experience opportunities so that you can build your employability skills.
