The outbreak of Covid-19 has meant this year’s 2019-2020 annual report has a huge focus on the pandemic and what we have done during this difficult time to ensure we continue to support people of refugee background.
The highlights include:
- Our 1,000th client accessed our service.
- 97% of our clients were satisfied or very satisfied with the level of support we provided them.
- 191 of our clients went into employment, education, or volunteering.
Given the Black Lives Matter movement and the need to challenge institutional racism, we felt it was important to talk about what we’re doing to become an actively anti-racist charity.
The report also shares actions we took to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on people of refugee background and how we have maintained the level of support we provide to our clients. It also covers the needs assessment we completed in June 2020 to gain a greater understanding of the support needs of the refugee community.
