Volunteering at Breaking Barriers is an exciting opportunity to support refugees from Birmingham, Glasgow, Greater Manchester, Liverpool and London into meaningful employment. Your time and skills will be essential in enabling refugees to communicate effectively, build relationships, access essential services, and move towards meaningful employment.

If you’d like to find out more, please contact [email protected], otherwise visit our FAQ page.

As part of our commitment to safeguarding, all volunteers undergo screening and reference checks and will be provided with comprehensive safeguarding training. It should also be nosted that for some roles, we also carry out basic DBS checks.

I find it very rewarding to help someone search and apply for jobs and create a CV. The job market is very competitive and it can feel very overwhelming for those that don’t speak English as a first language. I see the struggles people face and I love to do my best to guide others to prosperity and happiness.
